Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

I would like to take this time to personally wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a most excellent New Year in 2006.

This is going to be a big year for me. Lots of things going on and major progress forward. I'm both apprehensive and excited about the coming year. Stay tuned, won't you?

And Now For Something Completely Different...

To borrow a line from one of my favorite comedy troupes - Monty Python's Flying Circus.

The Holidays are now upon us and we should ALL take a few moments and reflect on the recent year, looking at all the good, and not so good things that we can and should take responsibility for. Make a conscious effort to be just a little bit nicer, a little bit more friendlier, a little bit more human than we usually are. Then, try to make that last a full year. It isn't a hard thing to do - all you have to do, really, is WANT to do it. It's that simple. Is it too simple for you?

Think about it.
Enjoy the Holidays.

The Sky Is Falling, The Sky Is Falling...

...oh, it's just the leaves.

That's right campers, it's Fall and time to break out those rakes and leaf blowers. The air is getting cooler and the color of Fall is all around us. The yellows, oranges, and reds of Fall signal the Autumnal Equinox. Blink twice and it will be Haloween. Blink again and it will be Thanksgiving.

Okay, stop blinking already.

Everyone remain calm and don't get all stressed out.
Do not panic.
Chill out.

The Best Consumer Electronics Superstore on The Internet

Howdy y'all!

Well, I'm at it again. I am starting another website project. This time it's a consumer electronics superstore on the Internet. Digital Electronics Superstore (http://www.digitalelectronicssuperstore.com) is the place to get your personal electronics equipment at a great price. Great Products, Excellent Prices, Outstanding Service - that's our motto.

The site probably won't be officially launched for a few months, but I thought I'd let you know what's going on.

Stay tuned!

Danger Will Robinson, Danger...

I am starting out on a new branch of creativity. Well, it's not REALLY new; I have been dabbling with this idea for about 8 years now. Finally though, I am getting around to actual design and fabrication.

I am talking about personal robotics. My specifications are as follows:

6-wheel independent suspension
All-wheel drive on an articulated chassis
Intelligent motor speed control
Sonar navigation
Dead reckoning odometry
GPS locating
Wireless communications
Multiple onboard computer control
Infrared heat detection
Light detection
Aural detection
Speech recognition and synthesis
3-axis inertial measurement
Real-time video acquisition and transmission

It's an ambitious project, to be sure, but one that I have been going over in my head for quite a long while. I have found serious inspiration from the Open Automation Project and from various robot hobbyists around the world, most notably David P. Anderson and Mike Hamilton.

I am starting a new blog for this project complete with details, drawings, and photos.
If anyone can come up with a cool name, I will put your name up along with the appropriate credit. So start those brain cells boiling and send me your ideas for the project's name at robotproject2005@yahoo.com.

Yes, that's right, sportsfans, the new e-InfoCenter.com website is up and running. With an all new look and feel, you can now buy your information products with confidence and ease.

Finally, after months of sweat and calloused fingertips, I finally got the site uploaded to my hosting service. Okay, there are a few areas that are "coming soon", but hey, It's working.

So, work still continues as I code and implement the additional items. Go check it out for yourself at http://www.e-infocenter.com and buy a bunch of eBooks.

Presently, And Again...

Still hammering away at the ALL NEW Website I have tried to simplify everything and make it easier for the visitor to make a confident purchase.

I am employing the use of PHP and JavaScript, both of which I know little of. But hey, ya gotta learn sometime, eh?

At this point, the home page is pretty much complete, as are the incidental pages (FAQ's, About Us, Privacy, etc...) The product pages are all that remains to be completed and I am estimating that in another 2 1/2 - 3 weeks I will be relaunching the site. w00t!

Build it, Tear It Down, Rebuild It, Tear It Down...

Greetings once again Earthlings. It is time for another episode of...

Adventures of the Webmaster - Episode XXXIV
Don't Attempt This At Home, I Am A Professional

Our intrepid webmaster is found hard at work in front of his system pounding out code at a phrenetic pace. The fingers fly faster and faster as they danced their way across his keyboard. His hands look like a blur as images and text appeared on the warmly glowing monitor before him.

Soon, he was finished and celebrated the moment with a well deserved sigh of satisfaction. He was content with the final results; all the images were crisp and clean, the text nearly shouted out his Internet message. Navigation was logical and straight forward, links were all live and ready, he had created his latest masterpiece.

"Now for the ultimate test" he thought to himself. He slowly turned, as if in a bad B movie flashback, and uttered the words that would soon cause panic in the streets, animals to scatter, plants to whither and die, make children have nightmares well into their adult lives, and form skin lesions on anyone within sonic range.

"Honey, could you please come here and tell me what you think of my latest Website?"

Instantly small lakes dried up, the Earth trembled, and the skies were made to look like blood...

(Okay, so I'm eggagerating a l i t t l e bit...)

The wife comes over and looks at the monitor. Nothing. No words, no sound, just viscious silence. Then came the terrible, awful, sinister laughter coming from behind him.

As his blood drained from his head to his feet, he looked at the screen and closed his eyes. Harsh reality doesn't care about trampled pride, nor does it consider the repercusions of it's seemingly indifferent actions.

Okay, the navigation was perfect, but the intent was quite convoluted. The newsletter signup was simple, but wasn't pronounced enough. But the real kick in the pants was that no one could tell the purpose of his Website within 8 seconds. The death knell hath rung.

"What does she know about Website design" he consoled himself. Under the skin, though, he knew she was right. Damn, how he hates when she's right.

So our intrepid Webmaster began rewriting the code and researching the latest Web techniques for direction and guidance.

Stay tuned for another exciting episode of...

Adventures of the Webmaster

The Next Big Thing

Hello again!

I hope your Holidays were well spent cuz here comes 2005!

I am proud to announce that I will be starting my own business this year -

G/Media Technologies, LLC.

I have three websites and will have a fourth in a few months.

The first website is an Internet sales site for digital information products about starting a small or home-based business. If you are a person that is thinking about starting your own business, you should definitely check out www.e-InfoCenter.com to find awsome, detailed information on starting any kind of business you can think of.

Another website,
www.ProfitCenterInternetional.com
deals with starting a home-based business of your own on the Internet. This site is chock full of rich information and details on how to really making money on the Internet.

And later this year I will be launching a new website dedicated to woodworkers. At www.WorldWideWoodcraft.com, there will be downloadable woodworking plans for sale, articles, tips & techniques, and tool reviews.

Lastly, I will soon be putting up a simple information website that deals with the new company itself, www.g-mediatech.com. Who knows, maybe even a company blog could be in the works as well.

Well anyway, I hope everyone had a great Holiday and is ready for the year ahead. There will be some challenges, some disappointments, and also some great and wonderous achievements that will be made this year.

Stay tuned, and good luck!
