The Best Consumer Electronics Superstore on The Internet

Howdy y'all!

Well, I'm at it again. I am starting another website project. This time it's a consumer electronics superstore on the Internet. Digital Electronics Superstore (http://www.digitalelectronicssuperstore.com) is the place to get your personal electronics equipment at a great price. Great Products, Excellent Prices, Outstanding Service - that's our motto.

The site probably won't be officially launched for a few months, but I thought I'd let you know what's going on.

Stay tuned!

Danger Will Robinson, Danger...

I am starting out on a new branch of creativity. Well, it's not REALLY new; I have been dabbling with this idea for about 8 years now. Finally though, I am getting around to actual design and fabrication.

I am talking about personal robotics. My specifications are as follows:

6-wheel independent suspension
All-wheel drive on an articulated chassis
Intelligent motor speed control
Sonar navigation
Dead reckoning odometry
GPS locating
Wireless communications
Multiple onboard computer control
Infrared heat detection
Light detection
Aural detection
Speech recognition and synthesis
3-axis inertial measurement
Real-time video acquisition and transmission

It's an ambitious project, to be sure, but one that I have been going over in my head for quite a long while. I have found serious inspiration from the Open Automation Project and from various robot hobbyists around the world, most notably David P. Anderson and Mike Hamilton.

I am starting a new blog for this project complete with details, drawings, and photos.
If anyone can come up with a cool name, I will put your name up along with the appropriate credit. So start those brain cells boiling and send me your ideas for the project's name at robotproject2005@yahoo.com.
