Didja ever notice that every few months, the Computer Chip Makers come out with a newer, faster, better processor?
This seems to me that they already have the advanced technology developed; they are just putting out incremental improvements to hoard more money from the consumers.
Sure they have to recover their development costs, and cover payroll, benefits, marketing, bonuses, and other overhead. I think it would be a great technological leap forward if they would simply introduce the next greatest thing without the incremental stair-stepping.
Or maybe I’m just impatient for Holodecks to become a reality.
