Keeping Busy

I have been finishing up my CNC Thermoplastic Extruding Printer project and all I need to do is to calibrate it and away we go!

Unfortunately, I need a computer to hook it up to and I am fresh out. I intend to get a laptop to maintain portability, but that looks like it will have to wait awhile.

I am keeping busy to get my mind of of the solitude that seems to envelope me at times. Thank goodness i have a job that I can fill up most of my day.

Steady As She Goes...

Moving right along, things are progressing smoothly for a change. Work has been steady, I've been paying down my bills, and have remained in good health.

It's been getting quite warm in the old lab to do much work on the CNC project, but I managed to slap a coat of paint on the X-Axis table. That should hold it until the fall when temperatures permit me to go into the garage lab without subjecting myself to the possiblilty of spontaneous combustion. It do get mighty hot in there!

So until next time, be well and take care.

Death of the Long Winter

Here we are at the end of the wicked Winter of 2010. With only a few more days until Spring, those of us, wide-eyed and foaming at the mouth from Cabin Fever are getting ready to get outside and git 'er done!

As we slowly come out of our caves after this long and bitter winter, remember to make your personal environments a little bit better each day. Plant some flowers, wash your windows, paint your garage, clean up the back-yard, whatever it may be; we all live here and no one likes to see decrepit, dying, and dismal spaces. After all, who doesn't like to be happy?

So make a little effort, take a little time, and spruce up your surrounding environs to make the planet a little bit more of a happy place to live.

Is the Foreclosure Blackhole Finally Over?

How many hardworking Americans have lost their home in the past couple years? The answer - TOO MANY. The greedy and self-serving banks in the United States banking system are on the prowl to fine new and sleazy ways in which to screw their customers. Uncontrolled credit interest rate increases, ever diminishing savings interest rates, new and increasing transaction fees... where does it all end?

If the clowns on Capitol Hill don't get on the stick and do something about the banks raping the citizens of this country, this recession could drag on for quite some time. But then, who is to gain by an extended recession? Why the banking system, of course!

Next up, toppling evil corporate greed.

New Year, New Hope

While 2009 was a bleak and troublesome year, 2010 shines like a beacon in the dark as we all crawl, bloody and battered, out of this awful recession. Things WILL get better albeit at a snail's pace. Keep on keeping on, have faith, and we will ALL make it out together.

Remember that, as bad as this recession was, it pales in comparison to the Great Depression. So many have sacrificed so much and gotten so little in return, but we are Americans and we are the toughest, most courageous, and fiercest fighters in all the world - We Will Make It.

So keep your spirits high, continue to look at the big picture, and mow down anyone who even hints at negativity. Bring on 2010!!!

Christmas Thanks

Christmas is a time for revelry and good cheer. It is a time when family and friends get together to enjoy each others company, express themselves, and soak in the good feelings that this time of year brings.

So I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of the people that take the time to stop by and visit my humble little page right here on the little old Internet.

In the coming new year, I will continue to bring you my thoughts and opinions on life, the universe, and everything. I will attempt to express clearly and concisely what it is I am trying to convey in a thoughtful and understandable manner. I will also try to bring you an unbiased (not) and clearly neutral (VERY not) briefly stated (whatever) excerpt of my life whenever truly appropriate.

Anyway, my Christmas wish for everyone is to make it out of this recession in one piece without too many scars. Keep the faith, try to smile, and buy bonds.

Merry Christmas everyone!

The Recession is OVER. The Recovery now begins.

And a LONG recovery it is going to be. Financial pundits are forecasting a return to normalcy in approximately two years. And with the current growth of corporate greed, political underhandedness, and socioeconomic backstabbing, that would seem like an accurate projection.

The oil barons continue to screw the general public, the other energy companies are falling right in step, and congress, as usual, is turning a blind eye to all of this evil corruption.

When are we going to take our country back?

The Earth Cannot Keep up With The Destruction Caused by Humans.

When will people start to realize that every action they take has an impact upon our environment? There is only so much CLEAN air to breath, CLEAN water to drink, and WE are responsible for maintaining our surroundings, not poor Mother Earth.

Ask someone with asthma what it's like trying to breath with congested lungs.

Find out what dirty and polluted water tastes like.

Once it is too late - IT IS TOO LATE!

Perhaps, it already is too late.

Global warming is real.

I hope you know how to swim...

Half a Century of Wisdom

Today, I have turned 50 years old.

Life has just begun.

In moving forward into my next 50 years, I can apply the results gleaned from the trials and tribulations of the first 50 of my years. I can move confidently forward knowing that I can overcome anything, I can accomplish anything, and I can AND WILL achieve anything that I set my mind to.

I have learned not to let anything, or anyone, stop me from getting to where I want to be or
where I NEED to be, in my life. And listen to me when I say that I plan on achieving a lot. A truly incredible amount. I continue to amaze myself with my, seemingly limitless capabilities. I can only hope that you, too, can find your way to this level of supreme confidence and stability to increase your position in life.

Good luck!

Never Give Up, Never Surrender

In the face of overwhelming odds, always continue to press forward. Ultimate persistence will, through one form or another, result in the desired goal, or a reasonable facsimile thereof.

Only through sheer determination, persistence, and relentlessness will success be yours. Don't ever think of quitting at the first signs of defeat, never give in to any obstacle in your path, and always continue to fight on for what you believe in no matter who or what tries to dissuade you from your goal. Only then will you accomplish what you have set out to achieve.

This is life's fact straight from the heart of the universe. Heed it and reap the rewards.

Begone, ye of Little Faith!

I have finally earned and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technologies. Having started my college career right out of high school, I have, regrettably, let life interfere with my plans. Three marriages (and divorces) later, after gone into and out of four institutions of higher learning, I have completed my degree. Unfortunately for my, I am now nearly 50 years of age and will find little use for it in the narrow-minded business world. All I have to do now is make the payments on my $60,000.00+ education loans with a grin. Gritting my teeth is more like it though...

Life Reboot

Sometimes, in life, we are given options in which there is only one choice. This choice can be for the better, or it can be for the worse. The difference is all in what we make of it.

At the end of 2007, I was faced with moving from the wasteland that is Ohio to Florida (still deliberating that decision). Now, I am finally moving into a dwelling of my own. I have essentially rebooted my life and I am making good progress toward recovering to where I once dominated my domain (this was back in high school).

So I am renting a duplex, setting up my living accomodations, and preparing to move rapidly into the future of which I havce been working toward for the past 33 years. Rock on!
